Seventh lunar month.
Today big boss asked everyone, including all the workers to go down to offer incense and praying. It was sort of a "big" event cause u seldom see the full "working force"all gathered at one place. The good news is that a lot of food are prepared and we in for a big feast. :) But the bad news is that it happened at 6pm, where i was supposed to be off work. =_= Aww.
After all the offerings are done and burned, the crowd dispersed fast. When i went back to where all the food is, i got a surprise. No wonder the workers disappeared so fast! There they are! One of my workers went past me and commented: "里面好像在打抢一样!" When i looked at his full plate of food, i was wondering is he refering to himself. lol. I stepped in and to my atonishment, most of the food was already gone! Wow, i mean, i just took only a minute to get here and THATS what was left? haha. I noticed...all the trays are wiped CLEAN, even the tibits and oranges, apples and biscuits. In short, everything that can be eaten was gone. While i was still in shock, one of my other workers gladly took a plastic bag and take as many longans and langsats as he can. o_0 When all the bosses and supervisors arrive, they dont seem surprised about the fast disappearing rate of food but calmly take out some packed boxes from under the table. LOL. 早已经准备好,佩服!哈哈!
I was not bothered abt the food but felt sympathetic with the workers. I saw what they ate for lunch/dinner every day, especially the indian workers. A big pack of rice, a few miserable pieces of meats and plenty of curry. And its every meal, every day. When asked, they said food was expensive here and all they need was just to fill their stomachs. They can go to such extent just to save a few dollars and their pay wise, was even lesser than what we get during IA. Thus, when i saw their "kaisu-ism" in snatching food, i just closed one eye. Imagine if its ME who did that, well, would you criticise me? Haha, just like them, food here was expensive too, and i just merely want to save some dollars and cents... :P
Since no food was left anyway, i just took a drink and went back to site office, packed everything and disappeared while no one was watching. lol. 放工!! Now, thats MUCH MUCH Much better than food. Yay! :D

Hmm huh. My probation period is coming to end soon. 3 months. Until i re-read my contract, then i realized that. :P On top of that, my site boss said to me that i will be recieving my confirmation status of employment soon. lol. THAT was scary, cause i not sure what that the GRIN of his means. haha. Well... to continue working in this data center industry or not, whether i have the chance or not...i guess i found out soon. Dont really like to think too much now, as the greater the expectations, the greater the disappointment. See how lo~ hehee
Lately i found out these things: Being sick tends to make me more hungry... Being sick tends to make me a very agreeable person... And the best thing i found out to cure a headache and a blocked nose: Get someone to agitate you. And damn so effective it is. It feels better after that. haha.
And lastly, saw this link on facebook, posted by ahlingor. Like the emotions and "feelingfulness" the singers displayed. Cause it reminds me that songs are not just black and white. It has colours in it too. :) And the best thing is...its a super classic song. haha.

A perfectionist.
"this does not look nice." "this side not smooth, can see the lines. " "Not good, not good, REDO." Immediately after his last comment, followed by a deep silence with the workers looking down, giving a small sigh. (Esp Calvin, who just gave a straight blank face. haha. That was comical. :D ) After our boss left, the workers grinned and giggle at me. Just one remark, he made the workers stay back, their supervisor stay back too...and of course, that means ME too. Damn. Haha. Should learn from the workers, take it easy. lol. (but then they got OT pay, i dun have leh...zzz)
Maybe not say a perfectionist, but rather a person of high standard. That's my site boss. lol. Every since he came to site, hes been making "full use" of me, now i seldom have time to slack, giving me lots of coordination work to do with contractors and other responsiblities. Not only that, still have to do things given by my direct boss, and site manager too. Wah, suddenly i feel so "important". Yeah right. haha.
One minor mistake caused me to stay back for OT, even on weekends. Guess i have more to learn about the tools of this trade. Time to make full use of transport claim le. Taxi!! XD
