Stars Searching in progress...

Result: Not Ideal

As usual.

Always hate this moment of subject registration. Always cant seem to get what i want. The worse thing is not getting a timetable with a lot of breaks or 5 day weeks timetable. Its the fact that i get separated with my coursemates. Well, the feeling of attending tuts and lects alone without any close friends just feel . . . so lonely and sad. Its even worse if its a group work based module. Damn, and i got two this sem. haiz. . .

Just took my ippt earlier too and as expected . . i flunked it. oh man. And the results are worse than expected. =.= Failed the broad jump and 2.4 km running. haha, how funny. Just as gz told me, how can i possibly failed 2.4km run when i can even finish 42km marathon?! Different leh... one is a test of speed, the other is a test of stamina. Other than these 2, the rest also just barely passed. omg. my fitness totally cant make it. And i half jokingly tell them, from now on must cut down on my milk intake le. Got too heavy bones. Thus, cant jump far or run fast. Lol. ^_^

Thinking of this, my next sem gonna have 8-12 extra "Aus" le... 8-12 hours of extra Remedial Training. :P Will "overload" like hell. haha. haiz. . . oh well..

Watched finished Night at the Museum 2. Haha, still not bad though not as good as the first one i think. Story plot seem kinda short to me cause all the events happened just in one night. But still, its a complete good ending after all... :)

Lately things are not seemingly going very smooth...

Went for IgC spirits meeting. Oh my, its been very long that i last attended IgC meeting due to attachment. Besides the usual discussion and amendment of night activities that we are in charge of, there seem to be some changes.. One is the reduction of expected number of camp participants. Well ,we still have some time, maybe the response will get better. Next is the lack of funds. Well, seem like if we cant get the funds needed, the night activities and accomodation may have to scraped off. Not only our efforts are wasted but ahhh....its really a pity.

Despite being in the holidays now, still have tuitions to handle. Still remember yesterday, after walking for half an hour to my tutee's house, then found out no one answer the door. At first, i thought she was sleeping as usual. After some time, i was getting really annoyed when still nobody opened the door. Just then, her mother came out of the lift and gave me a shocked expression. "Oops! i forgot to tell you shes not at home...she had went to Genting with her Aunt..." Oh well... this is NOT the first time.. that i had made a wasted trip due to this excuse. Haiz, her mum sure is forgetful. Now i had to walk back home for another half hour. ZZz.

After being in attachment for so long, feel a bit not used to planning timetable. And this semester time table planning is the worse. I had never seen such a "inefficient" timetable before. So many breaks in between. Imagine one hour lesson then 2 hours break, one hour lesson then 1 hours break. Even a simple day of FEW lessons can drag from morning to evening due to this. sigh . . . ( and i still have to consider my tuitions, RT schedule to fit in somehow..) -_-

Not forgetting i am still working part time now. Been working a week, and its been really interesting to see the same people coming in and out. Regulars indeed. And there are also a few crazy people here too who play marathon gaming up to 20 hours straight. And a few seemingly "pro" gamers who bring their own mouse and keyboard to play here. haha. Kids mostly play Maple and the teenagers mostly play the new Left 4 Dead and Dota. Well, actually all these games can be played at home. So why waste $ to come here and play? I soon realise that whats makes LAN gaming fun is NOT the games available to play here, BUT the enjoyment and satisfaction that comes from the playing TOGETHER with ur friends and LAN mates. Close up interaction and communication in team games. The encouraging, strategy discussion and of course, the cursing and swearing too. . .dunno how to explain in words, someday, u had to experience urself to know.. :) And......i still cant seem to tally the accounts between the cash register and the computer booking records!!! There always got some difference margin. When its small, its still alright. However when the difference is big, the boss will give me a suspicious look. =.= Just like today, i had to stay back for 2 hours because of this.... :( (think if this continues on, i will gonna be fired sooner or later.. :P )

Recieved news and went to the wake of my provost buddy's mother. It was kinda sad for him because he had lost his father a few years back too. And we were there too. Well, how to say...hope he be strong...

We decided to meet and go together. I and kh met first at lot 1 and coincidentally saw CK together with his gf. Unfortunately, he only spoke 2 words to us," Hello!' and "Bye!" I am sure he knew about the news ... but still its his choice whether to attend or not.

The wake was at a Roman Catholic church, same as last time. Saw zl there too, altogether 6 of the provost people there. Well, well, well, its been ages since i last met up with them together. Adriel looks strong but tired. It must be hard on him...

"I hate loneliness but loneliness love me."

We chatted about the old NS times... the 32km route march, the "amazing" soc feats that we achieved, our commanders and all the "memorable" times we had in maju and deployment. Haha, Endless memories there are, good and bad, pleasant and unpleasant. Really, come to think of it, it certainly not easy to go through all these during the 2 years... But at least, we went through it together. :) As usual, zl still as humourous as ever, "poking" fun at poor alex and the others. haha. One interesting thing to note though, most of those present had failed their ippt and preparing for RT. Lol. Guess our fitness 已大不如以前. 再过一年就变成 Cat Y 了. haha. 人“老”了? :P From them also found out the news of the other platoonmates too. Seems like Ray and Clar got promoted for their jobs. Haha. Well, who says u need a degree to be successful? :)

When we left the church, we were like wondering what to do next. Actually, its pretty obvious! With the same group of people(happens to be), what do we usually do during nights out at ns times? HAha! We went to the new Safra Club at jurong Point there to play LAN. Yup. Its beeeeeennn a long time since we last played together. Played Dota and Left 4 Dead. L4D, never played before, but it turned out to be new and fun! Asked Wee out too. he was now a graphics designer! Wow. At least u are doing what u want now, thats a good thing. :) BUT, he still the same old wee as ever. Suay, though, to sit next to him and having him as my team mate. :( His usual style of talking is becoming more "commanding" style, especially when playing dota! "Stun and kill!" "Attack and push!" "Back"! "Stick together"! Also keep picking faults at me sia whenever i make any tiny mistake. zzz. Purposely aim me one, u idiot. Haha. But nevertheless, we still have great 默契! we won! (Quick, thank me!) And Once again... we missed our last train timing. Well, might as well make the most out of it. Continue playing until 2am. :P. Thanks to alex for fetching us back home all the way to woodlands. :D

Yest went for my first day of temp job. Not at the PC show though, cant get it. =X My new job is working at a LAN shop as a counter staff at Yishun. Hmm...the pay is low and i only get to work 6 hours per day too. However the job scope is simple and slack. haha. When i report to work, i feel quite uneasy. Haha, besides the kids who patronize the shop, there are also some hooligans or ah bengs with tatoos. Oh my. Haha, guess i need some time to get use to it. I also learnt of the several new regulations, like the consequences of being caught by the National Environment Agency for smoking or the ocassional raids by CIDs here. And the consequences for letting in students with school uniforms etc.. So many rules to take note. And also the cases of stealing and cheating which occured here before. Wow... slack job but heavy responsiblities. :(

Yeah, when i first entered this shop, i was quite surprised at the "gods" the boss here prays to. At the counter got one Hindu god, inside the office got 关公 and 观音. I was like ..... huh?! In the end my boss is an Indian who prays to a lot of gods. Speaking of diversity. :P What a coincidence too, I had an Indian supervisor, just like my site supervisor at IA. AND my site supervisor name and the Shop name are so similiar too! Krishnan and Kriscron!! lol.

This is the first time i get to learn and touch the cash register. ka-ching!! haha, looks and sounds so fun. But with each tap of the button, u are responsible for the $$$ transactions. At the end of my shift, i had also to recount the $$ in the register and make sure it tally with the PC booking record. That means . . . i cant play free lan games without paying. Arghhhhh. :( And somehow, the records dun seem to tally yesterday, with a few dollars difference. Lucky my boss is not that calculative.

Today was even more shocking, cause the difference was as much as $50! Damn..maybe i forgot to collect money? Hmm.... shit. But 好像又不是 lei ... WEll, my boss did not accuse me yet... let him check the records first...ahh...unlucky day. :(

Well, after IA ended, there is a sense of emptiness..or rather too free i became. Haha. Been watching furiously boys over flowers that over the past 3 days i had almost completed it. Hee. :) Although i had watched the taiwanese version before but i still find it quite nice for this korean version too. Plot is more or less the same but there are some details which are different. haha. And the songs are so nice too... :)

Been hunting for jobs too, theres is PC show this week which i hope i can find some jobs on. But seem a bit too late ...after so many sending of enquiries and no response ... :( Hmm..maybe i should find other jobs and see...

Last Day of IA.

Morning report to work earlier to settle some admin stuff and get back the refund for making of our psa passes. Finally got back our $$ after 22 weeks...very "efficient" huh. Then everyone was like walking around, thanking their respective supervisors and expressing their thanks. Everyone seem to be in a good mood and high spirits today, be it the supervisors or the ia students. Dunno is it the supervisors happy to see us go, or we very happy to leave this company. lol. =X

*my other office ntu IA colleagues*

During lunch , we had plans to go to AMK hub eat with the rest of the colleagues initially de but our manager suddenly arranged to eat lunch together with the 3 of us. oh well. At first we thought he would treat us to something "good" since hes our Manager. Ended up we ate a nearby coffeshop near AJC. = . = He said the fish slice bee hoon here is nice... ok lo. haha. As usual, he likes to "talk" a lot while we are eating. Most of the time i cant hear whats he saying, since i sitting the furthest from him and the coffeeshop is so noisy. After lunch we are like so full..the bowl was so big! cant even finish =X. *my fellow site ntu IA colleagues :) *
* 'slaves' at PSA *

During tea break, the "干妈"们 treated us to a feast of tibits. Ah..., all the laughter and "teasing" of the junior poly IA students. :) Ah...even more full now.. Oh great. haha. Back at office, everyone was like so free and nothing to do. Can even see the guys playing dota and the rest playing restaurant city at facebook to kill time. Last day le, who cares? Haha.
*bleah :P *

At last, the debrief by HR. I thought they going to give another thank you speech or wat but ended up we only fill up the feedback form. Seem like some of the students in other departments got extend and their pay was like more than 2.5x of what we had now. Haha. Lucky they. Not because of the high pay but because they had good supervisors and working environement. hee.

Dinner. Steamboat buffet at Vivo. (Wonder why they liked THAT place SO much...). 北上川 麻辣 自助火锅。They had made reservations for all the ntu and poly IA students. Haha. Long time never eat steamboat. :D And the 麻辣 super shiok!! that i dun even want a drop of it after my first sip. =X As usual, the guys here all big eaters..or rather big carbohydrates eaters. Eat a lot of maggie mee, bee hoon, noodles... Liked the fried mantou here. nice!! :) And there is this special drink in a big big big glass called Lover's cup. Haha, since there are only 1 gal here, we called it the Brothers Cup!

" The 'Brothers Cup' of 忘情水 i shared with ming hee"

* Steamboat buffet with ntu and poly IA students. Cheers! :) *

On the way home, we bid each other farewell, like "学校见!". And the poly students will miss us...since the office will now become very QUIET and no one to help them 撑腰 too!

各位保重! :)

Second last day of IA.

Back in office in formal wear. Oh gosh, the only time i wore formal wear at IA is the first 2 days of attachment and now today, second last day of attachment. Haha. :P Today got company presentation again and this time, the Vice president of STE is also present too! Cant emphasis how nervous i was during presentation that i virtually cut my talking to less than 5 mins unknowlingly. lol. And the VP comments he gave me was like so funny. Yeah, right. My work at site is tough but at least better than the construction workers... ;) When its Sj turn and when VP asked her what she had learnt in IA, she answered: "PATIENCE!" The moment she said this, we all burst into laughter and turned around to look at my supervisor! ( 2 of us are also under him besides me) Even the other supervisors also giggled at him when Sj said that. Sj may have said this unintentionally but we all knew it had a double meaning. HAha! We all get the point and so DOES he. Hahahahahaha!!! :D:D:D

After the presentation, the VP also present every one of us a certificate personally! :) As a parting speech from VP:
"Engineering job is challenging, but thats what makes life interesting too."

At lunchtime, all the 4 supervisors treated the 6 of us, ntu IA students to a good meal. 9 course lunch, got fried noodles, scallots and veggie, steamed fish, pepper chicken, soup, braised duck, cereal prawns, fried tofu and even dessert! (must be costs more than $200) Its funny how one can get SUCH a good treat only like working for more than 5 months for ST?? o.o

Back to office after a heavy lunch, can see everyone their true lifestyle at work. Or rather since its the last few days, they also heck care. One playing restaurant city at facebook, one playing mario, one having a mini-k session with his music blasted out loud... oh my. 0_0 Everyone is in high spirits. Just then my manager summoned me to his office. He said he seldom see me at office and wanted to have a last "chat" with me which lasted for 45 mins.... does he "miss" me that much?? -_- At the end, he asked me the GOLDEN question:" Do you wish to extend and continue working here?" Oh well, frankly speaking i was hesitating. The pay was good, much higher than what u can get for other temp jobs outside. But then this site work ... is shit work. Problems keep cropping out everywhere and we didn't even know whats wrong with it. Problems with no solutions, u can say. Haiz. At last, i told him i needed a change of environment, a much needed break. yes, a break. When i discussed this with my colleagues, they also supported me. How realistic...only when pple need u, then they become nice to you.... sad...

I and wy and Sj decided to give our same supervisor a dinner treat later as a form of farewell. Regardless of how much we dislike him, he is still our supervisor after all and treating him is also a sort of respect for him from us. We asked him where and what he wanted to ate and he said:" Vivo!" Damn it. Purposely. Of all places. Firstly, its far from yio chu kang. Cant u just choose AMK hub or somewhere near to office? Must go all the way to vivo to eat? somemore u knew i am stuck there for the past half a year and u know very well that i am tired of that place. U moron. *mad*

After much negotiations, we decided on pastamania at doubly gaut instead. Quite an irony. Instead of a "silent dinner" that i expected, it turned out to be a session to clear out some of our "misunderstandings" too. Well, u sure are a special person. U are nice but the way u talk are TOO straightforward that u "hurt" or "provoke" other pple without u knowing it. U also have mood swings easily and sometimes we dun know what u wants actually, REALLY. As a friend, u are fine. As a boss or supervisor, u cannot make it. And u not only straight, u are also very truthful. Still remember what u said in front of Sj...

人家对你好,因为你是女孩子。
人家对你比较好,因为你你长得比其她女孩子漂亮。
没有所谓的丑或不丑,只看有没有人懂得欣赏你。。。

A pleasant surprise today.

While i was waiting for bus at interchange at harbourfront, saw a girl who keep grinning at me. Was wondering what was that silly girl doing until she ask:" Do u recognise me?" Then it suddenly dawned on me it was Ye Zhou! Oh my. Turned out that the silly person was me. =X Cant even recognise her. haha, she had changed a lot!! Much slimmer, wearing contact lens and knew how to dress up. Come to think of it, those girls i knew in pri and sec schools always seem to get "prettier" as they grew up years later, especially when u saw them again in person or facebook . Maybe they became more image conscious? ;) So DIFFERENT compared to the old schooling days. Haha.

However, she dun even remember my name! Idiot... I knew u since primary school, and we were in same sec sch and JC somemore! I even in same class with u in sec sch, TWICE!! Its not as if my NAME is that HARd to remember..especially with my surname :P But then , u had an amazingly good memory though! You still remember the 丑事 i had at the first day of school when i was in P6! That year i just got transferred to Funchun pri and i was like a noob. Our school uniform was tucked out type and i didn't know that. And yet i was the only one who TUCKED in my shirt all the way through morning assembly and halfway through class lessons until a kind SOUL told me. I looked so GEEK. And she still remembered our school discipline mistress who always forced us to shut our mouths by asking us to hold our lips together physically. Ah! those days... :) well, other than that, hope ur behaviour also changed a bit. In those days, the boys were pretty scared of u, as u are one violent girl, always like to hit people, and its not thos light taps! heee, dun dare to ask u that in front of ur bf too, "scared" i frighten him off. Lol.

Sometimes, at certain points, we are faced with minor decisions such as to stay or not to stay, to do or not to do, to go or not to go, to continue or not to continue, to give up or not ... But somehow, either of these choices may need u to a surprise. Or not. Not everytime at least.
Memory... is the diary that we all carry about with us.
