Oh yes, sunday went inline skating with a few AI friends. Oh man, starting to get a bit afraid of this skating. Still cant seem to get the hang of it, the balance...the braking...the change in direction...the steep slope and of course the fear...fear of falling. =.= Well, i skated down a slope, dunno how to brake and there BAM! into the bushes, got a few scratches. :( :( :( haha.

After that went to Shir birthdae chalet at downtown east. haha, it was a surprise to see almost all the BAT family there! Hmm, i am late for more than an hour and they actually waited for me. So sorry...不好意思 to let u all wait. :P And ronald had a great way of presenting our present to her. :D A fun Bat Gathering!~ See u all again at post COR chalet. ;)

Been working recently and because of this, got me into trouble with my tuition jobs. had to cancel this, cant make it for this day etc. one of the tuition kids also sort of unhappy and give me a "telling off"'. Like 明明说好 this day and this day is tuition time but i always cancel it... blah blah. Alright alright, my fault. =.= Oh great, with the RSPID project going on now, i guess there will be more friction with my tuition kids now. hope it wont be that bad...haha.

seeing silly and stupid stars...

Todae got subject reg, and if i knew what was going to happen later, i might as well take leave and reg at home. I asked my sis to help me plan cause i working. Well, unexpectedly, nothing went smoothly. In short, i hate stars now. Idiot, everything corked up and i cant even get all my cores registered until late at night. needless to say, the timetable i had now is very different from what i had planned earlier. Worse, no one i knew in my course is same class as me, be it lab or tut. :( Haiz...

Hmm...lately a friend ask us why pple have blogs? Just because its very popular to have a blog or there's a reason behind it? Haha,if u ask me for an answer last year, i would say its because of someone. But if u ask me now, i would say this blog is a keepsake of memories. I hope that i have something to look back to when i grew older, be it nice memories or horrible and embarrassing moments and of course penning my thoughts over the years... Over time, the blog can also update friends of whats happening around you too, things like decisions that we made, things that made us happy, sad or angry and also other many other stuffs. Lastly and also most importantly(i think), is to know urself better and let others know more about you too. :)

Hmm..been quite stressed lately. Need to worry and a lot of things to settle. Like ippt, my deadline is NEAR!(need to settle by this week liao) and trust me, i cant pass it right now. =.= Never mind, i just hope to get it over and done with, dont wish to kenna warning. Next is sub reg and stars planning. hy and cryssie sent me a timetable of their own planning, i wish to follow them but i dun like their arrangement. Had to wake up early on most of the days, 830 lessons. No way, my policy is 930 earliest, dun want to squeeze and fight with pple(especially freshies) for buses. Anyway, my timetable looks so much neater...;) Well, Looks like i gonna be alone in the coming sem... :( Then got the cca stuff, the planning, discussion and the reccees. And then have personal outings, birthday partys to attend and i still have tuition! All cramped into my pitiful weekends! Wah, so many things to do, so little time ...

Been working for a few days le, todae just finished my fifth working day. Up till now, my job had been quite slack. Basically doing mostly admin work like filing, data entry, labeling, laminating, printing etc... Well, cant complain much since i already got a job ...for now. heard that the ntu IA students are coming on 7th July, that means i can work only until then, which is like one more week only? After that, need to find another 出路 le. :S Been enjoying the company of my collegues and thus also knew some of their "happenings" and "stories" about them. Like how the gal IS willingly to be used by the guy without regrets?(in terms of monetary). Or the gal really been blinded by love?

post cor sickness...

Still having post COR sydnromes. Sometimes i even sign while talking subconsiously. Haha. The next day after COR, went for my first day at work. Sb managed to help me ask for it. So tired, had to woke up early at 6 am to go there. The job was quite slack, maybe its because its my first day at work. Later i learnt that i will not be working long there, cause i am only a temporary replacement until the IA students came, which is start of july. oh man, thats like one week more? :( Well, see first ba. The collegues there are very nice and fun, especially those 2 poly IA students. we talked a lot. LOL. We even went home and had dinner together too. Just one day alone at work, they already shared with me most of the gossips in the company so far. And to my surprise, one of the gossips did give me a shock and i was kinda affected by it. Well, i hope its not true but i know i cant change it either...its still her choice.

haha, i cant believe someone can actually found my blog by just google search alone. So, out of curiousity, i did a google blog search too and DA daaa! I REALLY found out a few of my friends' blogs. Haha, everyone is so secretive hiding their blogs sia...

Camp Outreach 2008 140608 to 180608

This year COR motto is : "Friendship sets no boundaries, language sets no barriers." The venue is karimun island, Indonesia, 5 days 4 nights. Well, its quite a last minute decision to join this camp actually as particpant. heh. A lot of things to say and mention about cor but its been already 5 days after the camp and i do not really have a good memory. So i just summarise in main points. :)

Volunteers

Besides the main COR committee, there are a few pple from the sub comm joining as volunteers too. Not much chance to know all of them well, only a couple of them though. And there are a few unique "netural" pple such as the photographer(ting guan, strong but quite shy person.) and video recorder(ying han. She likes soccer. haha.) Farrago volunteers quite few leh, with Eileen, nayr, ellie, hy, peiling, and a few seniors. But really quite a lot from kallang centre, seniors and juniors. Hmm...i really admire the effort and enthusiastism of those non rsphi who keep learning how to sign throughout the whole camp. They really are keen learners. I did sign more often during the last few days of camp though... ( first few days very lazy to sign... need to warm up. not EMO hor...)

Particpants

Of course they are Hearing Impaired people. (HIs). There are some exceptions too, like the small little malay girl who keep "bullying" me. >_< (She can hear quite well) Needless to say, there are also some familiar faces too. Like Aloysius, Issac, Esther and even Freddie! My bs1 class teacher! Haha. Mostly are adults or working class people. There are some HIs that leave a deep impression. Like jolene, she was small size and looks like a schooling girl but she was actually 30+ years old. Kelvin who is always kind of "noisy" and "loud" to me. Ronald, who is such a good actor with his mime and various performances. Freddie, who "acts" like a leader among the HIS, always have something to ask and share. Issac, artistic person who is hardworking and strong determination but kinda a bit bit "inconsiderate" at times. Ken, gives pple a quiet but independent and mature impression. And there is also a couple among the HIs. And there is Py, who looks like a compassionate mother. Well, there are also a few "problematic" pple too but we all coped well. :)
*My buddy and me*

My Group

4 groups: A, B ,C and D. I am in group B, volunteers "children" is mainly kallang pple(G.S.Y) and one cor sub com member, Brandon. Particpants "children" are Esther, Issac, Nicole, Ronald, jolene. CGL is CMY(mother) and assistant CGL is alex(father). ;) Haha, REALLY great chemistry between these two. A fun guy alex is, with his acting and superb activeness. Brandon is also a nice guy to get along too. we chatted a lot. :) My buddy is Ronald, and hes so dark that i thought he was a malay at first but hes actually a eurasian(mixed blood of scottish, indonesia and a few...) A silent, strong, patient, nice, funny, humourous, kind, mature and independent person. I and alex and ronald share the same hotel room. ^_^

*the BAT family*

Visits

We took a ferry to karimun island and stayed at Padi Mas hotel, with a supermarket opposite us. We visited the orphanage and had some sightseeing too at some places like fishing village and some minor attractions. however, i think we are very rushed during these visits. And its like we are at the place for a very short time and had to move on. I know we are late behind time but its really like drop and go. too fast leh. and strange, whats the use of visiting a fishing village if we cannot see how they fish?? =.=

Food

We ate most of our food at a local's house. I liked the food, spicy and nice. heh. especially the ikan billis they cooked, very delicious! And the breakfast we had at hotel was plenty and good too! (can eat until very full, shiok!) yeah! But then, the camping food is bad. Instant noodles are so blant and the hotdogs taste like poor quality crabmeat. :( Sg instant noodles and hot dogs are better. ;)

Camp

We pitched a tent and 4 persons in it. I, Brandon, Issac and ronald share the same tent. Its the simple tent, the kind we find at ECP in sg, easy to setup. It can keep out mosquitos but its very stuffy! Somemore, issac snores very loudly, i cant have a good sleep. :( (fyi, he slept besides me in tent, facing me. =.=) We had a campfire and also a night walk. The candle is useless sia, i used up all my matchsticks just to light it. Not my fault, wind too strong. :P I rather walk in dark. hmph. Haha. Next day got the hikking and trekking of Mount Jalan. About 400m tall. The first part is alright but the later part of the journey is really steep slope and quite dangerous. Some people dropped out and the rest continued. Some "unhappy incidents" happened along the way but never mind... we MANAGED to finish it to and fro the summit. YES!

*Top of the world~ Summit!*

Games

We had some beach games, and the most fun part i guess is the sea/water crossing. Its like hanging a rope out into the sea for some distance, and using the rope to pull urself and float to the sea and back. Its very similar to the river crossing(combat skills badge) in army except that this one is more fun cause we dun need to carry any load on our back and its sea, not muddy river! Nice and relaxing! ^_^ But then , for other beach games is okay, but the weather can be very hot. :(

Conclusion

I heard comments that this year's COR is not as good as the last few years. I think so too but then, COR 08, its really enjoyable for me too. So, no regrets. ^_^ Hey, whats matters most is that we all had fun together , right? CHEERS~ =)

*the main pictures are not ready yet. i will post it later after i got it.*

6:50 AM | Wednesday, June 11, 2008

Today morning went for job interview at sentosa. And then i suddenly realised that i had to pay the entrance fee to sentosa myself! Oh man, they better refund me. :S The client is at sentosa 4D magix, job scope is something like promoting their movie packages. The basic pay is low and quite heavily comission based. Its either u get the bonus or u dont. In short, u either get $5.50 per hour or u get $8 per hour. Thats it, no inbetween. The sales target seems quite high and from what i recce about the crowds there...hmm, its possible. maybe. Weekends even harder. I dont mind doind that but theres a slight problem with the job. I need to dress up like a pirate, like Captain Jack, to suit their theme. WELL, its not entirely ugly, just ATTENTION SEEKING. Anyway, they say they will contact me soon...so see how lo. haha. (do i feel a sense of relief?)

Later in the day, been faced with a dilemma. The job which i thought would never get it actually called and asked me to work tmr. I agreed hastily. Mainly because the job is recommended by "HER" and somemore the pay is high. But i sort of regret it at night when i go search for directions to go there. Its so far in the east side and not easily accessible. Given its long working hours and long travelling time, it would be tiring. How? BUT IF i work there, i get to... maybe i can... things may become... ... ... so many possibities. In the end, i rejected it but instead asked sb to replace me. Hmm, i hope i do not make the wrong choice...

Mum pass me a safety charm just now for me to bring to indonesia for COR... Hmm. A bit surprised.

Sports Day!

Morning went to swim at safra with kok. A sunny day to start with, nice time to get sunshine. :) Weather is kind of cool and nice. Been job hunting for the last 1 week le. Now, time to relax a bit.(yesterday only sent like 3 resumes only, compared to about 6 per day normally.) Yeah, "man man" lai... ;) Haha. Also went to northpoint to source for some stuff for COR. Well, still cant find a spare shoe or cheap crocs leh. (gonna find an alternative...)

Later, suddenly 心血来潮, feel like cycling. Haha. So went to gz house and borrow his spare bike and we went cycling together, from sembawang to sembawang park. Kind of deserted and few people there. Quite a number of malays though. And a lot of pesky mosquitos lo. A lot of up and down slopes repeatly, so tiring until at a point, when we see "up" slopes, we just 干脆 get down and pushed the bikes up. However, when its "down" slope, its really shiok!(for that few seconds of coz, remember, what goes down must come up later. =.= )We rest at a fishing area and watch people fishing and catching crabs there. Crabs, yeah, really got pple manage to catch crabs there. The sea is so dirty though, can even see the layer of oil floating... :( Later we dropped by the bottle tree village and admire the famous bottle tree there. But we do not stay there for long. the weather so hot, buay tahan! Cycle back home liao! And Oh yes, manage to finally get the dumplings from kok(made by his mum) le. Taste good(as always) ^_^

hmm...got an interview for tomorrow at sentosa. hope it turns out fine. :)

5:02 AM | Monday, June 9, 2008

Been going out quite often the last few days, the recent one is with AI friends. And kok supposed to pass us dumplings de yet in the end, never even see the sight of him nor his dumplings. Before that, i and ssy drop by to visit yf. Well, we wanted to chat with him more but he is busy with his customers. Later, we went out to eat at novena and stumbled upon the "Zhen Fa" live seafood buffet shop. Thought will never see it again after they closed for renovation at marina bay. But this outlet at novena is different. There are more variety of cooked food now, even got sushi and dessert! However they no longer have the alumininum foil for us to "bbq" ourselves, only the 2 different flavour of soup for cooking. But they provide the service of cooking instead. That is, take the food u wanna bbq and they will grilled or fried for you. Good service but it takes quite a long time to queue and wait for them to cook for ya. Taste nice though! As usual, the live prawns and fresh crabs are the highlight. The price has risen though to $19 nett.

Well, monday got 2 interviews planned for me. one is a retail job at weekends and the other one is at Singapore Discovery Centre. Supposed to go with honeycat but ended up with sb only. I was so excited and i thought i would get the job! In the end, it turns out that the 2 jobs are ad hoc based. That is, they will call u ONLY when they need people. And there are also a few good job offers that i turned down because of COR. :( Sigh, now back to square one...

did i survive?

So did i survive? i was half dead after seeing the results. I failed my maths, and somemore its 4 AUs de. To make matters worse, its one of the pre-requisite for my third year cores. ARGH! i mean, i already knew i wont do well, and i thought i will manage to scrape through it, just like the last few sems. Think i really ran out of luck le. zzz. Lucky my analogue managed to survive though, although i get a D. Oh great, my gpa now dropped from bottom to the bottomless pit liao. =.= *SIGH*

End Of DIP!

Yipee! Finally our DIP is over! Wow, time really flies fast...now like already one month plus over since school holidays started. Haha, today is our last presentation to the panel for judges(8 of them, all profs) and guess what? We cocked up. haha. techincal problems like laptop lag, hung etc. The profs all shook their heads. Ended up we never manage to finish our presentation completely. Hey dip guys, looks like we wont get into the finals of the competition le. ChEEr UP~ Isnt that what we want? ;) so that we will be completely FREE? HAha... Although i dont say we are very close with the whole 20 pple myself(i dont even know all their names) and despite the "hidden" group politics we had, i guess i still glad that i know u all, especially my own sub group! "Thanks" for making me leader hor~ But it was really been Fun and Nice working together during this period, with lots of laughter and jokes. =) Cheers!~ :)

We got like 3 hours break after that, so we went to JP and have our lunch. Then we stumbled upon a neoprint machine and we decided to take neoprints with it. Haha, this is the first time i am taking a neoprint! And i always thought it was only for girls, but then, it was really interesting and fun too! Posing for the camera, try out different "act cute" poses, and of course editing and adding special effects to it! Really FUN!~

After that, yf wanted to go for dfs interview later, so we decided to accompany him with Sb and exception of Crys. Haha, but we met honeycat on the bus way home. What a coincidence! Cause i had also met her on the way to school earlier in the morning too. Ended up she accompany us to shop and walk around at town too! hoho. And yf managed to get his job after we waited for him for a very LONG time while window shopping. Lucky him! ;) We had dinner at Sushi Tei and had a good chat together. And with that, concludes the whole day ...and an official end to DIP. Looking forward to seeing each other soon!~ (Most prob when school starts) :)

yf bdae...

*oops...the picture looks a bit blur at the back...got shaky fingers :P)

*Hey, we buy you a cake leh~ Appreciate it!*

Today was finally over! especially my dip individual presentation! Phew... was like having stage fright and trembling all over just now... :(

Todae we celebrate yf birthdae in advance, although his actual birthday is 2 days later. But since someone suggest it, might as well celebrate todae. haha, yf was really suprised. He never thought the cake was actually for him. E and Ec was here, but too bad cant get alex and yy here too. Sb and jh "sneaked" away after knowing our plan to celebrate yf birthday with a cake. They should have stayed and "share" the cost ma, cos 3 person share the cost really quite expensive. =.= Or are they embarrassed with the gals around? ;) We have a mango cake, nice but a bit too creamy for me. heehe... (Let me say this first hor... i PREFER a cheesecake...heee)
