Went for my longest interview ever, 2.5 hours long, by 3 different interviewers, one after another. Its almost like a "marathon" for me. :(

The first interviewer was friendly enough, maybe he looks the youngest among all, thats why. haha. The second interviewer was the technical manager, which brought up some points to share about the industry. He also mentioned like how important is our first job as a fresh grad, especially as an engineer, and to tell us to consider it carefully. (that's some useful advice i ever heard since job hunting..) Really, i was pretty confident i could get the job up till now...everything was like so smooth and optimisitic ... until . . .the last one.

My 3rd interviewer was the hiring manager. Omg.. That was one intense hour of interview, in short i really screwed it up. No doubt, the way he talked and the scenarios he posed are very pressuring and critical. 很强的压迫感!!(Hes even worse and scarier than my IA office supervisor!) There are even a few awkard moments of long silence that i bet even if a mosquito fly past us, we could hear its "weng weng" sound clearly. =_= Argh, and i really made a lot of mistakes in my answering.. :( It felt as if every word or step that i took fell EXACTLY right into his trap. (maybe i should have prepared mentally and more, but who would expect that he would be that SO SERIOUS??!!)

Ahhhh... when i left the office door, i could see his disappointed face. So is mine actually. :((( haiz. Oh well. Time to 另找出路了. . .

Went to Malaysia to attend cousin's wedding! Congrats congrats! Its been a 漫长的爱情长跑. :)First day, The moment we dropped off at airport, the first sentence Dad said was "大开杀戒"!! Haha, typical of him. Yeah, totally agree, settled down at a hawker and each of us ordered an average of 4 dishes, like laksa, curry mee, char kuay teow, lor ba... HAha, imagine one dish after another, and very soon our small table piled up with empty dishes. Instead of waiting them to clear away, we just 干脆 moved to another empty table and continue ordering and eating. lol. And people DID gave us stares lo... think they surprised at how much we ate.

Went to Aunt's new house. Was kinda wondering why all a sudden why they move to a bigger house. Then i realized its to match the "status" of the incoming bride. They bought a new dog too, haha. Nice! Liked dogs and its so friendly somemore! :):):) But then Ah Gong thinks that a dog that is too friendly isnt a good dog, since its too easy going with "strangers". True, its too friendly that we very fast 打成一片, play "tug-of-war" and it even allows me to bring it for walks! haha. :) (good dog or bad dog, as long its fun to be with, its a good dog to me. lol) Lunch at a recommended thai restaurant for tourists. Tried out its coconut wine too! nice nice! somemore its so cheap, Rm$5 for 1.5 litre. haha. Spent the rest of the day singing ktv alone(they installed a room specially for ktv facilities ^_^).

The moment came. Wedding dinner by the bride's side. 100 tables. When the couple entered, there's even a personal violinist and saxophonist leading the way!And the 上菜仪式 too was very grand, with drums and flags waving all over. They even employed the famous local band(violinist, saxophonist, pianist, guitarist, singers) over to perform and sing music LIVE. Oh my. They sang those classic old love songs though, which my younger cousin commented that if he is the groom, he would employ a rock and roll band instead. haha. And among the guests invited, there are actually a few politicans. Wow! The only bad thing i think, is that the MC is too long winded liao~ (maybe hes also from politicians background..haha)

Second Day. Tagged along to the bride's side for the tea ceremony. A surprise (though i should not be by now), their house is actually 2 semi-detached houses combined into one! Even the interior also, felt as if it was super spacious. The bride's side really was 热闹, so many people, and they even catered for a buffet, with a person specially delicated to serve us, especially soup! (My favourite 猪肚汤~ ever since ah ma passed away, i thought i never had the chance to drink this again..)Wow. haha. Buffet catering also have soup wor. And they got a lot of variety of malay kuey too, including some that can never be found in in singapore. Due to the super duper many guests and relatives present, the tea ceremony took a few hours to complete. 。 。while we self entertain ourselves with good food and playing with dogs. haha) At night, dinner by the groom's side. Not as grand but still alright. (after all, we are the hosts!) ^_^ And there is this slideshow too of photos ... got me when i was young and also our beloved grandma...

Last day . . . ate lunch with the newly wed couple at another thai restaurant . (again! they liked thai dishes a lot huh, haha. Maybe because we all liked spicy dishes. lol.) :) Before returning to airport, paid a short visit to 婆婆 too. . .

Wah...never been so busy doing all the academic stuff at one go. And i still haven finish yet!! :(((

Went to Saizeriya for dinner with coursemates. Also as a form of post birthday celebration for cat, well just as yf said, she really helped us a lot, so this treat is really 理所当然de la!~ haha. This place is i recommended, though i never ate here before, just remember that last time i wanna eat here but cant due to no available seats. But still, the food not bad!! Its quite cheap too, but despite we ordered a lot, we still not full. haha. So we ate icecream crepe for dessert. heh.

Its still early somehow, so we dropped by Lunar Asian Fusion Bar, somemore its free entrance! :D The atmosphere is good and the singers too! They sang a lot of my old time favourite classic songs and they sang it well, though its damn loud. :S And poor sebast, who seemed a bit bored(or tired). haha. Not everyone can "appreciate" old songs like me. hee. And then there is this... hmm.dancing. Kinda expected more, but then not bad to be able to SEE this close. lol.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

A dinner outing with the AI "polo" boys. haha. A table at 10, ate at 北胜楼, near our sec sch. Food was okay okay, but was relatively cheap. We ordered more than 10 dishes, but only paid abt slightly more than $10 per person. Glad to see ah kun and ah teck too. Had a bit of catching up. Haha, Feel a bit weird, cause the topics that we are chatting now seems to be buying houses(BTO) and talking about marriages. And congrats to ah kun too! :)))

Ah ha! FOUND out a huge secret of my tution kid! I know something was fishy when he put a photo of a young girl as his wallpaper. And then 无端端 says he wanna go on a diet. (He's 12 years old but his weight is comparable to mine le. haha.) That's STRANGE, cause i had been telling him to do that Years ago but he Never Listen or follow. Furthermore, he kept asking me who i liked in uni and my past love histories.

Then, all a sudden, he confessed he had a crush of this classmate of her! 0oOh! And soon our tuition session become a sharing session. Like how it all started with a simple sharing of sweets to each other. And then how the "princess" encourage him with a few words of motivation, when his bad grades are out and he appeared sad. And they also called each other for some small little chats. Haha, so sweet!! .. :)

(And what a coincidence too! our first loves actually have the same names! whahaha~)

Quite surprised to receive an email from my IA site supervisor. Though its just a simple mail but i think i know whats he trying to tell me. Haha, things haven change much do they? ;)

A giant ship engine failed. The ship's owners tried one expert after another, but none of them could figure but how to fix the engine.

Then they brought in an old man who had been fixing ships since he was a young. He carried a large bag of tools with him, and when he arrived, he immediately went to work. He inspected the engine very carefully, top to bottom.

Two of the ship's owners were there, watching this man, hoping he would know what to do. After looking things over, the old man reached into his bag and pulled out a small hammer. He gently tapped something. Instantly, the engine lurched into life. He carefully put his hammer away. The engine was fixed!

A week later, the owners received a bill from the old man for ten thousand dollars.

"What?!" the owners exclaimed. "He hardly did anything!"

So they wrote the old man a note saying, "Please send us an itemized bill."

The man sent a bill that read:

Tapping with a hammer...... ......... ........ $ 2.00
Knowing where to tap.......... ......... $ 9, 998.00

"Effort is important, but knowing where to make an effort makes all the difference!!"

Recess week coming to an end. A week filled with works and events.

1) Farra-ktv with 4 generations. Kinda surprised at the turnout rate. haha. Glad that i went. Its been fun and "memorable". :)

2) Wishes movie together. Watched Percy Jackson and the Lightning thief. I liked it though people's comments of it are not that good. Suited my taste with Greek mythology + modern style + humour. Haha. And glad that my little mystery about the Medusa's head was solved at the very end. Very nice. Hee. :D

3) HARK 2010. Success! Group A, surprised to see a few "old" friends of HIs in my group whom we met before at OBS before. All 3 of them somemore!! What a coincidence. (感觉上她们又长大了) Too bad the "old" volunteers at OBS are not in my group though. haha. We won the overall event but i know the credits are really to the HIs. They are really good with photography too. Ended with our super high SS again. Sometimes i really think its NOT the signing that matters but the type of atmosphere we creates with it that is more important. :)

Alright. Back to school work, assignments, reports, CAs and my ever dreading fyp . . .
