VOC!

Tuesday was supposed to be the dry run for VOC( volunteer orientation camp) for the juniors. We supposed to meet at mrt then go together to avoid missiing the shuttle bus. However, after i went out of my house and halfway of the journey then i realised i FORGOT to bring something! Alaamakk, of all things i actually FORGOT to bring THAT! omg...thought of going back home to take it...but its nots really feasible. No choice, ended up i had to buy it again at changi airport this time. Well, hope she likes it anyway. Whatever. =.=

When i reached pasir ris mrt, i MISSED my shuttle bus by 1 min!!! Argh....so unlucky today sia. Well, ended up i went shopping with the food comm, which are mainly farrago pple with Ap. I really gave my "honest" opinions about the food that we are buying, like this type of fishball is nicer, this one is more tasty, this one seems not enough...but too bad aya just dun seem to appreciate my taste for the choice of food. Guess shes more concerned abt the $$$ tag on the food. LOL. Later we had steamboat at the chalet and...we are unable to finish all the food. HAhaha. But glad to see that many farrago pple turned out for the dinner. :):):) A great gathering~

The next day is actual day for VOC and it rains at the morning. Hmm. :( But luckily it did not rain for long. The junors came and they were very active and spontaneous! Good to see that, really!~ WE played a lot of games and then i realised that i really sucks at playing catching, the "Follow me" game, especially when i keep falling. =.= Overall, i think the best games should be the "captain ball" and the "battle of the day" game. Dunno why, maybe its only these 2 games that u can really then can observe their unity. Like how they planned their strategies, how they work together and the way they cheer for each other etc. The last finale game is "Battle of the Day" and i think its the most fun of all ba. Like getting everyone wet? HAha. And whats so interesting was when the game starts, they all rushed to save the tied up "general" which is me, with a water bomb each in their hand. They were really efficient at untying the knots on me! It was really well planned, as if everyone knows what to do and how to untie. Fast!~ However, never to expect them to have something mischievous up their sleeves. After untying my knots, they all "unleashed" their water bombs on me!~ Huh...and i thought they are "kind" people. hmph. HAHAHA. Ended up we used up all on our bombs on each other within our own centre, resulting in kenna "bombed" by other centres. HAha. But whats important is that everyone had fun and enjoyed themselves, especially the juniors. :):):)

Later that, is the discussion and finalisation of portfolios for the juniors. ANd the new president turns out to be sHi hUi! Wow, i never know that the CHs had really such a good impression of her. hahah, a bit surprised. But then, her "performance" during the day just now was quite good too. When we went back home later, even ah hui and Glad were also surprised that she was the new chair!~ See SEE! So unbelievable! HAHA. The rest of the juniors seem quite confused and unsure of their new positions but we shared our experiences with them and let them know more about what their posts are about. yup yup...now its really handing over le...and good luck to them!~ We, the seniors will support them!~ :D

22th Sept 08

The first day of monday of the recess week. Feels so good that i dun have to wake up early to go to school. :) Afternoon, some of farrago pple met together to sing K at chinatown. Come to think of it, this is the first time i am singing K with ellie and the rest, and the 2nd time i singing with farrago pple. Haha, the first time is singing K with the seniors last year not long after HI orientation camp. Only me, zy, ryan and wh went that time, and we were called the F4! haha. However, this time the guys going are only me and zy only. hmmm. First time hearing the gals sing and well, they really passionate about singing. :) Notice that aya and ellie love to sing duet songs and haha, what even surprise me is that aya can actually "change" her voice to... a different level to suit the male singing part. We were quit high at the begining, jumping and singing and i think due to that, for the rest of the few hours, we "died" down quite fast. haha.

LAter, we went for the WSC appreciation dinner . With the singing that ends at 7...of course we will late. HAha. Ended up we sat at the very last table of the function hall. Not really a bad thing too, as the location was very near the exit, which means near to the food!~ :D Met Yuqi too that day too, and it turns out that its her bdae that day? Oops. :P And then there was this mtv game which requires scandalous couples to be out on stage. Does not sound that interesting, but i saw Eileen looking at me mischievously. WELL, i give her the STERNEST look i can and luckily she did not try anything funny. Phew.. Anyway, we were not watching the show but playing our own paper and pen game. HAhaa! so fun~ =) We also recieved our testimonials and thank you cards from our seniors main comm. A BIG thank you ... i will remember the words on the cards... =)

Diamond Dust Rebellion!

Bleach Movie 2: Diamond Dust Rebellion is OUT! I had downloaded it and watched it!~ So nice~ Even better than the first movie, Memories of Nobody! To all the bleach fans, this movie will not be a letdown b-e-c-a-u-s-e 80% of all characters showed their full potential in the movie ....and that is freaking awesome!!! Hahaaa! too bad that Ikkaku Madarame's bankai lasted for only a very short while and did not showed much of its attacking skills. The movie shows how everybody from the 13 protection squads work together and how when someone is in trouble, the support and trust they get from their friends is indeed very commendable and touching.

Recess gaming nite..

Friday got the recess gaming night organised by the electronic sports club. Basically its a LAN gaming session at Emax Cineleisure. Wanted to ask more more people to accompany me but only managed to find jh and wj only. The rest not so enthu about lan gaming de... :( And i forgot about zy! He played LAN a lot , especially dota. However, i had not played dota since i ORD from NS 2 years ago...my skills and knowlege about doat is now rusty and outdated. But not CounterStrike. Well, whatever it may change, the techniques of aiming and playing still remain the same...at most the maps change. somemore FPS is one of my favs :D As a result, the whole night of 3 hours we really played CS all the way... not really very pro but at least its a good way to vent out frustration. Bang bang Shoot shoot! HAha. Once in a while play can liao...wait get too addicted. :P

And here comes the start of the reccess week... :):):):):)

No use brooding over it. Face reality and of course, learn to accept it. Most importantly, adapt to it too. hmm. Lately been reading and getting a lot of such "so called " inspiring quotes about lessons in life. Believe it or not, i think there's always some truth in it. Just like someone told me..., he dont believe in fate. But other guy told me he did. How about you? ... And what about I?

I've learned that we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change.

I've learned that my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time.

I've learned that true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. The same goes for true love.

I've learned that you can do something in an instant that will give you heartache for life.

I've learned that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.

I've learned that either you control your attitude or it controls you.

I've learned that heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.

I've learned that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down, will be the ones to help you get back up.

I've learned that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.

I've learned that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.
*Now i finally know where KH got his fav quotes from... ;)*

I've learned that there are people who love you dearly, but just don't know how to show it.

I've learned that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them, and less to do with how many years you have lived.

I've learned that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I've learned that no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn't stop for your grief.

I've learned that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.

I've learned that just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other. And just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do love each other.

I've learned that you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret. It could change your life forever.

I've learned that two people can look at the same thing and see something totally different.

I've learned that your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don't even know you.

I've learned that it's not what you have in your life but who you have in your life that counts.

And finally...

I've learned that you cannot make someone love you.

All you can do is be someone who can be loved.

The rest is up to them.

The Mayonnaise Jar and 2 cups of coffee

When things in your life seem almost too much to handle, when 24 hours in a day just are not enough, remember the mayonnaise jar and 2 cups of coffee...

A professor stood before his philosophy class and had some items in front of him. When the class began, he picked up the very large, empty mayonnaise jar and proceeded to fill it with golf balls. When no more golf balls would fit in the jar he asked the students if the jar was full. They agreed it was full.

Then the professor picked up a box of pebbles and poured them into the jar. He shook the jar lightly. The pebbles rolled into open areas between the golf balls. He asked his students again if the jar was full. They agreed it was.

The professor next picked up a box of sand and poured it into the jar. The sand filled up everything else. He once more asked the students if the jar was full. The students responded with a unanimous "Yes".

The professor them produced two cups of coffee from under the table. He poured the coffee into the jar, effectively filling the empty spaces between the sand. The students laughed.

"Now" said the professor, as the laughter subsided, "I want you to recognize that this jar represents your life. The Golf balls are the important things - Family, Children, Health, Friends, Passions - things that if everything else was lost and only they remained, your life would still be full. The pebbles are other things that matter - like your Job, House, Car, Cash, etc. The sand is everything else - the small stuff. If you put the sand in the jar first," he continued, "There is no room for the pebbles or the golf balls. The same is true for life. If you spend all your time and energy on the small stuff, you will never have room for the things that are important to you.

So pay attention to the things that are critical to your happiness. Take care of the golf balls first - the things that really matter. Set your priorities. The rest is just sand.

One of the students raised her hand and asked what the coffee represented. The professor smiled. "I am glad you asked. It just goes to show that no matter how full your life may seem, there's always room for a couple cups of coffee with friends."

This is how business is done...

Father : I want you to marry a girl of my choice
Son : “I will choose my own bride!”
Father: “But the girl is Bill Gates’s daughter.”
Son : “Well, in that case…ok”

Next day Father approaches Bill Gates.

Father: “I have a husband for your daughter.”
Bill Gates: “But my daughter is too young to marry!”
Father: “But this young man is a vice-president of the World Bank.”
Bill Gates: “Ah, in that case…ok”

Finally Father goes to see the president of the World Bank.

Father: “I have a young man to be recommended as a vice-president.”
President: “But I already have more vice- presidents than I need!”
Father: “But this young man is Bill Gates’s son-in-law.”
President: “Ah, in that case…ok”

This is how business is done!!

Haiz...

Ahh..now quite lagging behind in my tuts and work. One lab report down finally! And another project report due next week. Argh! :( And then there is this IA thing to worry about. We need to register and choose our companies now which becomes a headache for us. Which companies to choose? To choose those that is near my home?or the ones closer to my future job scope? Argh... Somemore, so many companies need interview de... =.= HOW? How? how....

And then, there seems no news from the GIP work and study too...wonder hows my application going on...WEll, there are really reasons why i wanna go GIP and yet some reasons why i prefer to stay in singapore. I wish to clear my driving during IA if possible and hope to join in activities of cca(with juniors^_^) too. And maybe even COR and OVE? :) But then, to be on the realistic and practical side, join GIP is also to gain overseas working experience to boost my resume(my school results already VERY "cui" le...) and another MAIN reason is to forget about "something" too. Hopefully. That is.

So many uncertainties....
* I just dun seem to see the light....in the future...* 0.o
