Approaching weekend

Fri, always looking forward to friday cause that means weekend is near! Todae, i met kw and his MAE friends for a swim at SRC. We also met zk and yl there. The swimming pool water there at SRC is so clean and no chlorine smell. However, its deeper than i expected...=.= So i can only swim close to the edge... Seeing kw and his friends kind of makes me envy. They seems quite close and are together, good coursemates. Which reminds me, i dun have that in EEE. hoho. I only have sebastian as my close friend in tuts, other than that, yf and hy are different slots from me and a lot of tut mates are hi-bye friends. Many of those that i knew in year 1 are nice pple however, due to the fact that we are in common engine that time, everyone streamed into different courses. In EEE, i am getting lonely...everywhere i sees is those PRC pple...>.< Feels so out of place...Maybe i should had gone to MAE hor... At night, the flowers outside my house had blossomed! Its a BIG thing cause this plant only open its flowers once a month! and somemore it opens only at night. hehe...

EEE night

23rd Jan, wed. Todae is the EEE night and yf invited a lot of pple, especially from RSPHI. up to now, we still got doubtful attendance. Many are not confirmed until the later part of day when we got worried about abt not enough tickets. Lucky, we had more than enough tickets. The response was quite good, as if number of RSPHi pple are quite many. yf,yh,wh,zy,E,C,hy,yy,Ec, hyi and even a few unexpected pple like Yh, krystal... I quite surprised wh and zy joining us cause i thought they will be joining their friends instead. Program wise, still alright, mainly some song and dances performances and the singing competition. Hoho, yf told me he already feeling want to sleep at the first few performance le. Hy already feeling bored before even the first performance. EXcept maybe the special event is the ex Project Super star, hong junyang appear and sing a few songs. too bad, he did not sing any of the songs that i like. And the main highlight id the lucky draw. there si a bike and PSP to be given away! Wh had both tickets that are so close to the winning number! What a pity, in the end, none won anything. >.<

time for a decision...

I mentioned before that i was bothered by a few matters lately. And no doubt, the issue with me and her IS indeed the most problematic of all. She already knew my intentions and i already asked her straight before and the answers are not very optmistic to me. I did try to forget it but the cca pple ard me seems to put on more pressure instead. I dont say its a bad thing, but its not very good either. To continue chasing, be more daring, or act blur, or forget everything, or give up... i been bothered by these options lately. Many pple give me different suggestions, some suggest more bold and daring, some pple urged me to create opportunities with her...and so on. haiz. Well, until todae i met Alex and he told me wat he think and i think wat he had said was really quite true. In fact, tats what i thought previously and maybe i was right.

He said that i should not be "furiously" wooing her now. Well, its not actually "furiously" by me, i did little, buts its the friends around me who did all the pushing, hints that make it look like "Furiously". Its almost like i was scaring her, or rather, she was avoiding me the more I(we) pushed her. Its not like she doesnt knew my intentions, i already ASKED her straight before too. Just that its been quite some time now since the BIG HINT and its obvious to ME that its a one sided affair. Even if with the help from the pple ard me "pushing" and "helping", i dont think it will make matters any better. It maybe even be worse. If worst case senerio, i really dun wish to lose her as a friend. Alex suggests that i should start to "tone" down and maybe start from friends to close friends first ba. One step at a time. Its not matchmaking. No need to rush. Yeah...I agree. I admit i still like her but then.... let nature takes its course...:)

Hmm, on monday yf walked past the EEE booth and saw the EEE night tickets giveaway thing and he got an idea of collecting as many tickets as possible and invite farrago and even RSPHI pple to go and watch. Well, at first i thought he was just kidding cause he never was serious about such things before. BUt a few mins later, he called hy and rushed to collect her matrix card to exchange for tickets. All in all, we managed to get 12 tickets. Now, who to invite? He said we try our own centre first and see how. At night, on msn, i talked to her and invited her to join. hehs, she actually agreed! I was glad!
Tuesday, hy told me that only E and yy may be going. and she invited Hyi and zq too. Yf later told me that the guys, wh and zy actually already got tickets beforehand and they also had surplus?(ehhh...?sth funny?). Yf also asked a few from clementi but they are not free too. Looks like we have many extra tickets then...So he suggested me to ask Ec. LAter at night, C told me that she might be unable to go le due to project meeting! wah! haiz... To make matters worse, i also recieved bad news from qp abt the Mr Charles thingy. Got to make a trip to his house again. Arghhh....!!!!!!

contact lens...

Well, i just bough new contacts lens with ssy accompanying me. I stil remember the "difficult" moments when the optician try to teach me how to put on my contact lens. I spent around 1 hour trying to put on, enough time for ssy to leave me, had dessert around there and come back to find me managed to put on only for one eye. >.<
On sat, i was late for the chinatown recce cause i spent like 30 mins trying to put on my contact lens > .< And that ssy actually "leaked" out the secret to them before i arrived. Well, i wanted to see the "responses" and observations of ...ahem..."them" de.. Wearing contact lens can be quite tiring for a long period of time though...Nevertheless, At least its easier to take out the lens than to put....

garang guni canvassing 1

We had our garang guni canvassing todae at bishan. MK also joined us, haha. Well, he joined yf group which also got her in it. haiz. watever. i and ellie, qr, hy, zhiqi and a few others, mostly the seniors' seniors. Doing garang guni had also helped more in learning to be more confident in approaching strangers and talking to them. WEll, some of them are very nice! Like the family at 5th floor who was shifting house, the uncle who gave us the 40 inch plasma TV and many more. It was until the later part of the day that i found out that she was feeling unwell and left early. :(
hope she is alright. When we met again at main collection point, i ravaged through the pile of junk and managed to salvage a few nice looking items. At least i am not going home empty handed. hehe. :D Throughout the whole day, i became more closer to qr, ellie and hy. more bonding with them, i mean. :) Well, just about we finished our loading and unloading, it started to rain heavily! Hopefully, it wont affect the $$$ we going to get. After that, i, yh, ssy,hy,qr went to eat dinner together at J8. haha, we talked and chat a bit there. Tired but fun day i had. :)

As usual we had our farago cc at mountbatten community centre. They had bought a cake for hm to celebrate her birthday in advance. Well, why they never ask me to go and buy too, since she is also there.... :( At the en dof the cc, zy got the cake and hide behind me in order to give hm a surprise. Well, she was quite shocked when we sang the bdae song and she gave the "who was the birthday person?" look. haha, she never expect its for her? ;) Anyway, the mango cake is really nice and really MY FAVourite. Wonder who chose it... ;) After that, we went to old airport road to had dinner together. then we went back to cc, sat in a circle and played truth and truth. (why does hy always like to play such games huh?want to add "gossip info" to her database, right? lol). They asked me what are the qualities that i wish to find in a girl? i said, 体贴，心地好，常常笑。When they asked her the same question, she answered: 对别人好， 城实， 比她高。Well, dunno whether true or not...We then played a few rounds of action heart attack, then by right we want to go home de but then dunno who started to walk towards basketball court and then we all followed le.(thinks its me, zy and wh, hoho). We got into 2 teams , with her in my team. Its amazed that even th non sporty pple can also become sporty in group games. As expected, wh is quite pro at it and everyone seems quite accurate in their shooting. Call it beginner luck!. We played and continued until everyone had shot at least a ball into the basket each. How funny, there was a part where she passed the ball to me but Qr intercepted it. Everyone "jeered" at her for interecepting a ball thats not meant for her. Later, got one part where i passed the ball to her frequently, hoping she try to scored a ball in. hoho, she actually passed it back to me or to other pple instead of scoring. then the other pple passed to me and i passed it to her again. This continues for a few cycles lo. LOL. Well, at least she managed to score one later. hehs. nothing much le, then we went home. Good Night, folks. Tmr still got karang guni leh. :S

A recap of 2007...

Wow, now its year 2008 le. Time sure flew fast. Now let me have a recap of what had happened much in year 2007...

First half of year 2007, 2nd sem of year 1, hmmm..well, mostly school stuff, nothing much to talk about except maybe went for a few trips for deli clubs, other than that, not much to say. Then the June holidays, ah...the moments when i work at nokia at CWP. I met sw there and it was quite sweet meeting her. She let me had a feel of somewhat how flirting and "love" was like. The impression she gave me was that she was more open than i expected and more sociable with the guys. I never expect to get close with her, but then she already had a bf, and a one that she barely can let go. Yz, ssy they all dun really have a good impression of her but thanks for her existence in nokia. At least it makes my work there more interesting and sth to look forward to. Thats the happier thing which happened in nokia. The bad thing is that towards the end of my contract, i screwed up the NSU and the customer's phone data and contacts were all lost! HE made a fuss of it and complained to the manager. Lucky or not, i left nokia before it was settled. I made quite a few friends there at nokia, including Hasnah, Lionel, Ian, Jolene etc. We even had a Sushi buffet at the last day to celebrate. Nice!~

Zoom to year 2, 1st sem, that time i decided to be more active in CCA, so i and ssy and yf joined WSC. I was looking for a cca that bonds strongly together , not to only make friends that see once and tats it(like deli club outings...) but rather long lasting friends in NTU. In order to have that, we must of coz join CCAs that have regular activities. Xiong, it may sound but its true. I asked Ian abt his opinions and he asked me to try RSPHI. (he's in WSC too, btw). We also did a bit of "researching" and found out that HI is ineeded the most bonded among the 5 RSPs. At first, we wanted just to join the COR but cl and zk backed out. Well, nevertheless, we went for the interview for RSPHI. lol, still rmb how Eileen and the seniors managed to convince us to choose from clementi to farrago. The interview was very time consuming as we waited for very long. WE saw a cute sporty gal at that time who was also the last few to wait for interview and it turned out to be P who was in clementi. haha. oh yeah, we also saw nayr too. I still rmb its yt and sh who interviewed me.

At first, ssy and yf got selected but not me since i did not recieve any news. I was a bit disappointed but yf helped me to call yt and by a stroke of luck, i went for the interview again and i got in! Whether for the best or worst, its a first step. Frankly speaking, after looking thru all the pple in farrago for our batch, i was kinda surprised and disappointed. There are more guys than gals(Omg! how come?Isnt it be the other way round all along?), and some more the gals are not......well, not as i expected to be ****** lah. (and i thought dragon babes are supposed to be better looking! :S) After we joined, then we start to realise how committed we need to be, SS, event planning, tuition...Wah. Yf already start to show signs of displeasure. After exams, we had Christmas SongSign practise like almost everyday in dec. At first, i was kind of unhappy when i learned that my holidays i cant work. I still rmb the first SS meeting when we met to select a song. Kaoz, SUPER demoralising, only 4 pple turned up.Ec, the leader, me, hm and J! Compared to other groups, its pathetic. No wonder we choose "Last Christmas"! So sad! *hmph*

The few first SS practises also like that, very few, always like around 6 pple. omg. so sian, and we always fall behind in terms of practise compared to other groups. When we first had our Mass perfromance in front of other groups, wow, u should see how rigid and expressionless we are. diaoz. But then again towards the later part, eevrybody starts to bond well(a bit too late?but better than not bonded at all). Frankly speaking, i had a couple of not bad gals in my group, i should be thankful for that. :) During this time, i grew much closer to hm, i mean, since she was my partner in acting, and somehow, she had quite a great personality that attracts me. I liked her smile and sometimes the way she talked. haha. XD. Her smile gives me a pleasant feeling, maybe thats why my acting is so gooood ba.. ;) haha, i am actually starting to enjoy this. Even you can see the fun side of everyone, for example the cute side of zy! We had quite a few SS outings and gatherings and we starts to bond at the later stage. REally, a lot of memorable memories this DEC 07...SongSign, the best part of Christmas indeed...;)

SS picnic at Botanical garden

03 Jan 08. Finally our first SS with full attendance(except the seniors). WE went earlier to meet at admiralty to buy the ingredients needed to make spagaetti, salad and sandwiches. After that, we went to X house to prepare the food. upon stepping in, we were greeted by X father. :P His house is nice, with hermit crabs in his aquarium and like the feel of his house. Very cosy and woody. :D We "played" around with the food and ingredients for a while before X drove me, Jm, P to the mrt at noon. The farrago pple met at CityHall for lunch. I was late and the first thin they saw me was not:"Why are U LATE?" but "Where is C huh?not with u?". omg. The moment i heard this, i knew my secret was out and far le... We arrived at marina square food court and again , they tried to paired me up with her at the same table. however, its not me who sat there eventually.. (to be frank, i starting to have second thoughts on the char of R, he really likes to stick to gals a lot...a bit not happy abt it, especially when it concerns her). I and hm and zy then set off to botanical garden. but we dunno how to go there. So i suggest to call X to drive us there and hm called him. lol, X actually rejected hm's request.(lol, i thought if hm ask X to drive us there will be a higher chance than i and zy call him). No choice, we had to take bus then. But to our surprise, we mey Mruey at the bus stop, the WRONG bus stop somemore. HAHA. If i and zy never saw her and she never saw us, she will be waiting for a bus that will never reach botanical garden. HAHA. finally,w e all gathered at the grass patch besides the swan lake.(there are 2 real live swans!) We ate our prepared food and played "asshole Tie Ti". It works the same way as "Tie ti", just that after a round, the 1st, 2rd,3rd rank will give their 3 , 2, 1 worst cards to the last 3 rank. It was a fun game and u can really observe some traits if u get the hang of it. All in all, a nice SS gathering, we had fun! :)

02 Jan 2008!

After we had our Zhen Fa steamboat and countdown at marina bay, watched the fireworks, made a wish, Todae is the first outing in YEAR 2008! I and kok and darence went to safra swim and oh man, its been how long i had never seen darence until now...missed him man :) After that we met with gz and went to MINDs Cafe. It seems that Darence had been here quite a few times. When we came at 2 pm, there was nobody there! haha, we are the first. Gz introduced us to a board game called "Shadows of the Camelots". Its a new and fun game! Something like doing quests, working together and with the added new surprising element of "traitor", it makes the game more interesting!. Its like RISk + MAFIA = Shadows of the Camelots! A usual, i always seem to have a "fate" with the "traitor" card. Too bad, i gave myself too easily away and they "caught" me at the first round. The second round is Darence chosen being the traitor. Although he was discovered by gz, we still lost the game.(Darence, the traitor win)At the third round, guess what???I got chosen as the traitor again and this time..ahem..i put my best "mafia" skills to its fullest. You should have seen how the other three accused and quarrelled with each other! kw and Darence keep accusing each other, gz got confused, dunno who to trust between the 2, Darence still say it cant be me, or he will faint at the spot. In short, NOBODY SUSPECTS ME AT ALL! WHAHAHA! so as expected, by the time they guess that real "traitor" is me, the game already ended with me as the winner. :D
After the game, everybody gave me the "Steven cant be trusted" look. gz said my acting was VERY good, kw said he totally ignored me, Darence said he got full faith in me just now. Haha. Its just a game mah...LOL.
After that,we the well known fried wan ton mee there. Wow..the prices there increased again, eat less there le. Then we ate the popular dou hua near there. Yummy!
